Wendell Lawson, M.D.
Dr. Lawson received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center, Memphis, in 1982, and subsequently served a medical internship at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Ga. He completed his internal medicine residency at the Medical College of Georgia in 1985 and then completed his training as a cardiology fellow at the University of Cincinnati in 1987. After practicing in Nashville for three years, Dr. Lawson returned to his native East Tennessee and joined Parkway Cardiology Associates, P.C., in 1990.
Dr. Lawson is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the American College of Physician Executives, the American Medical Association, the Roane-Anderson Medical Association, the Tennessee Medical Association and the American Heart Association.
Dr. Lawson and his wife Anne live in Oak Ridge and have four children. His hobbies include golf, tennis, bicycling and auto racing.
